The Rockefeller Foundation 2011 Innovation Forum
In July I photographed The Rockefeller Foundation 2011 Innovation Forum:
Each year, The Rockefeller Foundation Innovation Forum gathers creative and inventive minds from the worlds of business, government, non-profit, and journalism to bring innovation to bear on the urgent challenges facing poor and vulnerable people around the world. Through a series of interactions, panel discussions and breakout sessions, participants assist the Foundation in identifying pressing global problems that must be solved for the benefit of future generations. Upon conclusion of each Innovation Forum, the Foundation leverages its deep expertise, expansive network, and grant-making process to further explore and address the problems over the coming year.On July 27, 2011, the inaugural Innovation Forum focused on identifying the key problems relating to some of our most important challenge areas: food security, water security and urban economic security. Subsequent to the Forum, an evening awards ceremony honored individuals and organizations whose innovative work exemplifies the mission and vision of The Rockefeller Foundation.
