One comment on the difference between these two quotes taken from Roger’s excellent post: there’s a difference between leading or following.  A lead seed strategic investor could be a worry for an entrepreneur, but a strategic investor as a follower at the seed stage could be a plus and help provide the push for a closer business relationship.
